[...] Rest assured, your coffeesister still allows herself one a day. It is a health drink, after all. Although coffee’s been my constant companion for as long as I can remember, my compromised health can’t take too much of a good thing. Hot beverages being a therapy I can’t live without, my morning coffee’s followed-up with black tea then green & I wrap up my day with herbal. You don’t have to be still with a hot beverage for it to be therapeutic but you’ll be better off for every pause you let it create. (from Finding friendship, drink IN hand) [...]

I'm reading this post at four in the afternoon, and it still makes me want a big ol' steaming coffee.

Is that wrong?

Although it's much harder to find a decent cup of tea, when I do, I enjoy it as much as -- if differently than -- coffee. The leaf will never replace the bean for me but I can't imagine life w/out it.

How right you are that coffee offers up some amazing concoctions; 1 Colorado Bulldog cocktail over here, please! Can I replace the splash of coke w/a shot of espresso, tho'?!

Hey, thanks for the nod toward tea and all it's benefits. I love tea!

Coffee is wonderful, I agree, especially when it's blended in an Irish Coffee, or as I had the other day, a Colorado Bulldog cocktail. Yum.

Sadly, I don't have the taste for either coffee or tea but I appreciate Coffee shops and the idea behind coffee. And I will join in with my cup of Hot cocoa or a delicious Frap without the coffee. =>

Just think, not only the ability to use your garage as something other than our storage unit but hot chocolate to boot.

I was going to leave you a note, but I thought it would be more sisterly to go make myself a cup of coffee. Done.

I happened to read this post while sipping on a big ole mug of hot spiced chai. Not your typical Florida drink but good, nonetheless.

From one of my favorite publications, Bottom Line, this month: Wine and coffee may help prevent Alzheimer's, as they slow the buildup of a damaging protein that kills brain cells. This reinforces what you wrote about coffee's ability to protect the brain. I'll drink to that!

Exactly! My brain needs all the help it can get; no doubt, w/out the lifelong coffee habit, it'd be far worse off. Also raised w/wine, I'm convinced my challenged brain wouldn't have survived its damage w/out all the protection.
Tis perfection that you had a hot beverage in hand & Chai is such goodness. I can smell the spices even now..
Dorian |_|) “If you are cold, tea will warm you. If you are too heated, it will cool you. If you are depressed, it will cheer you. If you are excited, it will calm you.” ~ William Gladstone

Ah, a great post to savour while sipping on a coffee. I will have to list off these health benefits when next I am told that I drink too much coffee. Ah, black coffee.

Black coffee, indeed.. So crucial to a happy life, it was in my hunny's proposal to me! Please do share the benefits; I'm determined it'll one day be recognized as the health drink it is. Thanx for having a cuppa w/me; I hope you'll return for many more!?
