OOH-OOH! Yes, we played the “light as a feather, stiff as a board” game! Everybody put two fingers under the one person’s body, who had to be very stiff, and we had to lift exactly at the same time. Now I’m thinking about a third-grade sleepover at Leslie Bland’s house, the same night we had a seance and I heard my first dirty joke. )

Pillows, eh? I can understand that. When I was pregnant with my second child, I got in the habit of nestling among many, many pillows to support either boobs or heavy legs (lots of water retention) or belly or back. Now I still like my pillows; hubby calls my body pillow “the Great Wall of Carolyn.” And I have to rearrange bed geography a bit then. ) I can imagine it’s even more of a comfort when the pain isn’t the kind that goes away in 9 months.

I hate to sound like Lindsay Wagner, but we do like our Sleep Number bed. He gets a firm mattress at 70, and I keep my side at a floaty 45. I hope you have something equally supportive and comforting.

Did you ever play “light as a feather, stiff as board” growing up? It’s essentially how floating works as you have to relax but w/good posture. Speaking of posture, maintaining mine w/the help of plenty of pillows helps the pain.

Re #6, I’m in touch with that; I’m not even a good floater. (Butt sinks like a boulder. Only the head and shoulders float well. *avoiding the airhead jokes*)

And coffee? I probably drink your allotment of creamer and Splenda for you every day. )
