[in reply to our exchange above]

The house is... well, hanging in there. I'm going to go Friday and have a lil' chat with the providers of my homeowner's insurance and see what we can do. It held up surprisingly well during the last round of tornadoes, although the porch awning is now quite noisy as it lifts and slams back down with each wind gust.

The Jeep (whom I've named Pixie Dust) sustained one small dent, but it's hardly noticible, and she held herself incredibly well considering the size and weight of the tree that fell on her.

I return to work tonight... first night in six weeks, so I'm quite excited, and hoping that little by little, one small project at a time, I can do some of the other major remodeling this house is begging for. I have this vision of turning it into a Country Cottage...

What your mom did for your brother sounds wonderful. I'm glad his day was one to be enjoyed by all.

Thanks for asking about the house, and for ~connecting~.

*Sparky*

Truly Amazing!!! Wow!Extraordinary writing from an Extraordinary Woman I did send Birthday wishes to Jordan and I hope that he received them but alas if the e-mail that I have is wrong he didn't. :-( So in the case that the wishes did not get to him I want to wish him here a Very Happy Birthday. Yes it is belated now but it doesn't count as so. Right? :-)

What better person than C.S. Lewis to quote from for this post. He says best what one feels truly. Heartfelt and sincerely expressed.
Thank you so much for writing such an elegant and thoughtful piece. You obviously take a lot of time to think about what you write, and it gives us readers a lot to think about in return. I especially appreciated this as I was on the beach in Florida this weekend and feeling really crappy about how I look in a swimsuit. Thanks for making me realize what really counts in life.

You are so very welcome! Thank YOU for this encouragement as I do really think through what I'm writing since it's my belief that honest musings can offer needed truths. I can't help but hope any shared realizations will prove timely too. I'm just so glad to have made a difference.
Simply being on a beach in Florida is far more important than how you look while enjoying it although I suspect you're being too hard on yourself.
I love the C. S. Lewis quote. I should have it tattooed somewhere.

Why else do you have a body? Of course, you could always tattoo your soul.
A wonderfully exotic trip into the soul, mind and body...

I loved the imagery, and the mind/body connection you made here...

My mind and body don't always work in harmony either! LOL

A most excellent post!

Peace and white light, Nick

I cannot thank you enough for your unique feedback! As my interest is in the journey, providing a trip -- an exotic one, no less -- does my soul good.
Speaking of the soul, no doubt our minds & bodies end up at odds because they're vying for control when it's our souls that should be in charge.
First of all, Happy Birthday, Jordan.

Secondly, amazing post. Timely for me too. I've been having issues with my own reflection lately -- not just the physical, but on all aspects. A tree fell on my house the other day - and in the aftermath, I kept hearing a whisper in my head, "Your environment is a reflection of your in-vironment."

Your message is beautiful, as are you.

Bright Blessings, *Sparky*

I suspect Jordan did have a happy birthday as our mum transformed her dining room into a Chinese restaurant decorated for the New Year.
It seems our souls are indeed in sync.. it's always my utmost hope to not only speak to the soul but in such a way & at such a time as uniquely needed. Kudos to you for seeing a more complete reflection -- how right you are that our environs both impact & reflect the INvirons.
Comments & encouragement such as yours affirm a shared beauty; blessings from you are quite bright & I thank you!
